Sindh Schools Start at 9:00 AM Due to Cold Wave
The Sindh Education Department has changed school timings across the province because of the ongoing cold weather. All public and private schools will now open at 9:00 AM (closing time remains the same).
This schedule started from Monday and will continue until January 26, 2026. The step aims to protect students from very cold early mornings.
Parents and teachers are requested to adjust routines accordingly.
8,049 New Headmaster & Leadership Posts Approved for 2026
Big news for the education sector! The Sindh government has approved creation of 8,049 new posts (BPS-17 to BPS-20) under the new Cluster Policy in School Education & Literacy Department.
These positions will strengthen school leadership, improve administration, and enhance education quality across Sindh. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed authorities to move forward quickly.
E-Marking (Digital Checking) Introduced in Matric & Inter 2026
Sindh educational boards will start e-marking for Matric (SSC) and Intermediate exams from 2026.
Plan: 2–3 papers of Class 9 & 10 annual exams + 2–3 papers of Intermediate will be checked digitally. This is a major modernization step to improve accuracy and speed of result processing.
BSEK Student Week 2026 Announced + Exam Forms Schedule
Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has released Student Week 2026 news and form. Schools should check the official website for details.
SSC Part I (Class 9) 2026 exam forms submission (regular/private) is already underway (normal fee period: early January 2026). Many updates are posted on bsek.edu.pk.
Expected Result Timeline for 2026 Exams
While official dates are not yet final, education portals estimate:
- SSC Part II (Matric 10th) result → around mid-August 2026
- SSC Part I (9th) result → shortly after 10th result
- HSSC Part II (12th) result → around October–November 2026
- HSSC Part I (11th) result → likely December 2026
